Day Tips

Chichen Itza
One of the most famous and main ancient ruins to visit. Driving a rental takes about 3 hours. Tours available, some combine a visit to Tulum and swimming in one of the cenotes.

Tulum
Second ancient ruin, with a gorgeous view of the beach. Driving a rental takes about 1 hour.

Coba
Third main ancient ruins. About 2 hours drive by rental. Taking a tour includes kayaking on top top of big cenote, zip lining and vising Mayan village for late lunch

Xcaret
Ecopark. 4 miles away from Playa Del Carmen. Taxi would be the easiest and cheapest way to get there.

Xel-Ha
Ecopark. 30 miles away from Playa Del Carmen. Taxi will be pricey, but another option is to take a bus, may take longer but will be a lot cheaper.

Cozumel
Ferry go there every hour, takes about 45 minutes.
